Contributions from individuals, foundations and corporations to the American Friends of the Shanghai Museum provide invaluable support for the Shanghai Museum and foster an appreciation of Chinese art in the US. These include gifts designated for acquisitions, research, exhibitions and educational programs in the U.S. and China alike, as well as gifts to special fund-raising projects. American Friends of the Shanghai Museum also can assist you in making a gift of art or artifacts to the AFSM Foundation. Both the American Friends and the AFSM Foundation are exempt from federal income tax under IRS section 501(c) (3). Gifts are deductible for federal income tax purposes to the extent provided by law.
